ニュース 49720

Coal-based activated carbon is a carbonaceous adsorbent material made from anthracite coal through carbonization, cooling, activation, and washing processes. It appears as black cylindrical or irregular granules. This material has a well-developed pore structure and excellent adsorption performance, high mechanical strength, and resistance to acids, alkalis, and heat. It can be regenerated and reused.

Based on its morphology, it is divided into three main categories: columnar coal-based activated carbon, crushed coal granular activated carbon, and powdered coal-based activated carbon. Columnar carbon is mainly used for solvent recovery and gas purification, crushed carbon is suitable for industrial water treatment, and powdered carbon is mainly used for drinking water purification. Its applications cover water treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment, adsorption of harmful substances in the air (such as formaldehyde and benzene compounds), and decolorization and purification in chemical production.

Specifications include columnar granules with a diameter of 1.5-10mm and powdered products with a mesh size of 100 or larger. Standard packaging is a 20-25kg double-layer woven bag. Through both physical and chemical adsorption, it can effectively remove free chlorine, organic pollutants, and odors from water.

Coal-based activated carbon Applications

Coal-based activated carbon is widely used in the deep purification of drinking water, industrial water, and wastewater. It is applied in domestic and industrial water purification and gas-phase adsorption, in industries such as power plants, petrochemicals, oil refineries, food and beverage, sugar and wine making, pharmaceuticals, electronics, fish farming, and shipping. It effectively adsorbs free chlorine, phenols, sulfur, and other organic pollutants in water, especially precursors of trihalomethanes (THMs), achieving purification, impurity removal, and odor elimination. It can also be used for industrial exhaust gas purification, gas desulfurization, petroleum catalytic reforming, gas separation, pressure swing adsorption, air drying, food preservation, gas masks, catalyst carriers, industrial solvent filtration, decolorization, and purification. It is used for the separation, purification, and treatment of various gases; organic solvent recovery; decolorization, deodorization, and refining in sugar, monosodium glutamate, pharmaceuticals, wine, and beverages; precious metal refining; and as a catalyst and catalyst carrier in the chemical industry. The product offers functions including decolorization, purification, impurity removal, deodorization, odor elimination, carrier, purification, and recovery.

Coal-based Activated Carbon Classification

Type A – Coal-based columnar activated carbon: Widely used in solvent recovery, industrial waste gas purification, protective equipment, home air purification, power plant raw water purification, pure water treatment, power plant raw water treatment, electronics factory water treatment, chemical pigment water treatment, food and pharmaceutical factory water treatment, as well as sewage treatment plant biological carriers, factory and landfill waste gas treatment, greywater reuse, and mariculture seedling cultivation. It can also be used in pure water production, sewage treatment, sewage biological carriers, mariculture, cold storage preservation, and factory air purification.

Type B – Raw coal crushed granular activated carbon: Suitable for power plant raw water purification, especially in the filtration and purification of chemical wastewater and the treatment of chloride ions in brackish water used in power plant boilers. It also has excellent treatment effects in projects such as golf course soil improvement.

Type C – Coal-based powdered activated carbon: Primarily suitable for tap water purification, used to adsorb organic matter, residual chlorine, and odors in raw water, reduce turbidity, improve taste, and bring it up to drinking water standards. This product also has good treatment effects in the sewage treatment industry.

Activated carbon is further divided into:
1.5mm diameter
2.0mm diameter
3.0mm diameter
4.0mm diameter
5.0mm diameter
10.0mm diameter
