Columnar activated carbon (also called cylindrical or pellet activated carbon) is a high-quality carbon material shaped into uniform cylindrical pellets. Compared to granular or powdered activated carbon, columnar activated carbon has:
Columnar activated carbon is widely used in industrial gas purification, air filtration, water treatment, and chemical processing.
The Columnar Activated Carbon Making Machine is designed to process raw materials like coconut shells, coal, bamboo, and wood into high-strength columnar activated carbon. This machine integrates crushing, carbonization, activation, granulation, and cooling into an efficient production line.

A Columnar Activated Carbon Making Machine is industrial equipment used to convert raw materials into cylindrical activated carbon. Unlike granular or powdered carbon, the columnar shape ensures:
The machine is suitable for producing cylindrical activated carbon with diameters ranging from 2mm to 8mm, meeting industrial and municipal filtration requirements.
Main features:

Common raw materials include:
Pre-treatment involves crushing, drying, and screening to achieve uniform particle size for carbonization and pelletizing.
Raw materials are crushed and dried to reduce moisture content to below 10%, ensuring efficient carbonization.
Crushed material is heated in a carbonization furnace under low-oxygen conditions. Volatile matter is removed, forming carbon-rich char. Rotary or fixed carbonization kilns are used depending on production scale.
Char is mixed with a binding agent and extruded into columnar shapes using a pellet mill or extrusion machine. The size and diameter are adjustable according to requirements.
Activated carbon pellets are cooled, screened for size uniformity, and packaged for storage or shipment.
