Coal gasifier video
A gasifier is a device that converts coal or other solid fuels into combustible gas (coal gas) for industrial production, energy supply or other applications through the gasification process. The main working principle of the gasifier is to produce synthesis gas (including carbon monoxide, hydrogen, methane and other gases) by chemically reacting with coal in the furnace through high temperature and appropriate amount of oxygen or air.

Basic components of a gasifier
Furnace body: the core part used for gasifying coal, usually made of high temperature resistant materials.
Gasification chamber: the place where coal reacts with oxygen, steam, etc.
Combustion chamber: the area where heat is generated, used to maintain the high temperature required for the gasification reaction.
Gas purification system: removes impurities (such as dust, sulfides, etc.) in the coal gas to ensure the cleanliness of the gas.
Cooling device: cools the generated coal gas to make it suitable for subsequent use.
Slag discharge system: used to discharge solid residues generated during the gasification process.
Control system: used to monitor and adjust various parameters in the furnace to ensure the safe and stable operation of the gasifier.
Working principle of gasifier
Gasification process: After the coal is fed into the gasifier, it reacts with oxygen, steam, etc. through high-temperature gasification in the furnace to generate combustible gases such as carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen (H₂).
Combustion process: Part of the gasified gas can be used for continued combustion to provide the necessary heat to maintain the gasification process.
Gas purification: The generated gas contains impurities, so it needs to be filtered, cooled and other processes to remove impurities to ensure its cleanliness and suitability for subsequent industrial use.
Application of gasifier
Gasifiers are widely used in many industries:
Metallurgical industry: Provide gas for heating furnaces and smelting process fuel.
Chemical industry: Synthesis gas can be used as raw material for the production of fertilizers, synthetic natural gas, etc.
Energy supply: As a source of energy, gas is often used in power generation, heating and other fields.
Heating and hot water supply: Gas can also be used for industrial or household heating, hot water and other applications.
